The conference will create a wide and efficient international network of water and wastewater professionals worldwide. The Conference intends to provide a focal point for those engineers, scientists and regulators with an interest in the collection, water pollution control, treatment and supply of water, and recycling of wastewaters management and reuse options. SWSSC 2010 in Egypt is an opportunity that brings together representatives from universities, industrial and governmental organizations with policy makers, stakeholders and clients. The technical program will enable all participants to learn from international experts to exchange their professional experience, and to be acquainted with the updated progress in both water and wastewater sectors. The conference exhibition will be a good tool to observe and discuss technical and policy issues, to be aware of low cost technology methods and to approach from potential clients and customers. The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
