The forum will discuss the Maghreb integration 20 years after the creation of the Arab Maghreb Union shedding the light on the role of the Maghreb businessmen in the promotion of economic cooperation and integration, the development of inter-Maghreb trade and the investment and partnership opportunities among Maghreb institutions. The 2nd Forum of Maghreb Businessmen is organized by the Maghreb Businessmen Union and the Tunisian Union for Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts, in cooperation with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group. It's expected to host more than 1000 businessmen from the Maghreb countries, including ministers and high officials, as well as eminent Arab and international personalities who are concerned by the Maghreb situation. The invitation will be sent to a number of Arab groups' leaders who invested in North Africa and other international stakeholders interested in the region. Sectors

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
