4th International Conference on Information Systems and Business Intelligence

Workshop / Conference

Morocco, Marrakech,
From 02-17-2011 to 02-19-2011

The conference aims to develop a dialogue between experts and researchers from both public and private sector, on fundamentals and experimental learning of Information Systems and Business Intelligence (SIIE). It promotes the technologies related to intelligence (EI) inside an environment of risks. The dynamics of intelligence depends on the mastery of knowledge and skills needed to design the best strategies and ensure that decision makers will make the right decisions.

The three first editions (2008, 2009 and 2010) have enabled academic researchers and economic actors to reach the final projects. The goal of SIIE is to continue in this direction by creating opportunities, ideas and innovative ways to strengthen the projects and build bridges between universities and industries on both sides of the Mediterranean.

Targets & objectives
The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia.
