Stone Gate Egypt, the grand monographic fair for the natural stone industry, will be held from 18 - 20 dec. 2011. This trade event is organised by Arabian Group for Development with The Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) and Egyptian Exporters Association ExpoLink.

. It will present an entire range of products and new features for the industry, as well as the latest ideas and applications relating to natural stone within the fields of construction, architecture, interior design and decoration.

Stone Gate Egypt brought together the products and services of some 150 direct exhibitors and represented companies. The fair welcomed some 10,000 professionals from 12 countries throughout the world

This event, confirmed its growing international dimension, based on the attendance of a large number of exhibitors and visitors from abroad.

Stone Gate Egypt  also welcomed various return trade missions, consisting of more than 250 buyers from all of whom attended the fair's exhibition.

Targets & objectives
The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
