The operation was held in Warsaw and Katowice from 23 to 26 February 2010 with the participation of 18 entrepreneurs from the Mediterranean (six in Algeria and 12 in Morocco) and about 115 businessmen from Poland, Italy and France, as well as 20 representatives of organizations supporting the business and instituting government. Business meetings were organized according to the profile of companies in the Mediterranean countries and according to their expectations in terms of partners, by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services CCISC Casablanca (for Moroccan companies) and the Algerian Confederation of Employers CAP (for Algerian companies). The program began with the operation of individual consultations with experts of entrepreneurs who spoke on 23 February on the topic "Building and business meetings-efficient construction materials, semi-products and services, energy efficiency" in the Operation No. 1.

 The participants, interested in cooperation issues, took this opportunity to have individual discussions with Maria Dobosz, Expert of the Polish Institute of Building Technology, Eric Agnello, Expert of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland, and Mr. Marco Stegher, Expert of the Italian Association of Consultants, architects and proponents, and other experts and specialists in the construction sector invited by the Polish Chamber of Commerce. After the conference, business meetings took place between representatives of the Mediterranean Basin and the European Union.

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
