Applied coaching techniques for start-ups in Lebanon
In order to perfect the coaching of young entrepreneurs in Lebanon, Flavienne Sapaly, senior coach in methods and technics of the Réseau Entreprendre to hold a training seminar that completes the staff exchange which took place in Marseille in July 2009. She trained over 15 new coaches via theorical and pratical modules. Results : The REI met a population that was not exactly experience in coaching methods (essentially business angels and bankers, with a few businessmen) and needed to review their practices in the domain. REI disseminated mostly coaching methods, and not vertical technics that they were suppose to know already. For a lot of them it was a discovery, and thus, a real plus. Most of the 19 participants manifested their wish to develop a deeper knowledge and to make their first steps in the accompaniment of entrepreneurs. Partners

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia.
