Exchanges of experience missions on water treatment between Invest in Israël, COPCA and Unioncamere
Staff members of Israel NEW tech and ACC1O CIDEM|COPCA have been hosted by Unioncamere during the first week of June. The first staff exchange programme have been focused on three main points: - Internal meetings in order to sustain and guarantee the follow up to the first two activities that have been organised in Barcelona in March 2009, and to prepare the up-coming activities. - Training activities with ISPRA (Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) and Idrotecnica Italiana (private association with the aim of spreading water culture) experts to facilitate dialogue and to share best practices - Technical visits to LaboratoRi SpA which is part of the ACcea Group Company that provides laboratory, research, consultancy, and engineering services with respect to the environment and water cycle. The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia.
