Med-Franchise: Business Supporting organisations Networking Workshop and Fair

This operation will be a 2 days benchmarking and networking workshop for women BSOs: Business Supporting Organizations, International specialists on Franchises, Franchise Cases organized by Ljubljana Chamber of Commerce.

The workshop will provide presentation from distinguished specialist on the franchise subject and exchanges of experiences; presentation of one or two successful franchises, discussion on the intermediary results of the study and a display presentation of selected franchises and innovative approaches in the frame of the project.

In order to provide additional visibility to the MED FRANCHISE project Ljubljana Chamber of Commerce is organizing an international exhibition of service innovation and best innovation award ceremony at the main Fair Ground in Ljubljana. The event Inovation - Challenges of economic development will take place on 20. and 21. of April 2009 at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. The programme of 21. Of april is specially dedicated to Franchise in connection to innovation. Delegates from MED Franchise partner countries will present presentations and start a discussion with the public. Panorama of franchises active in slovene market will be presented on the exhibition.

This activity will allow sharing of common practices and exhibit and promote the results of MED FRANCHISE project. Collaboration between Mediterranean Businesswomen organization will allow launching joint projects and it will contribute to the BSOs empowerment and develop regional sustainable synergies between businesswomen BSOs.

Target groups of this activities are:

Businesswomen Organisations from France, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan.

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu

Condition to participate

Med-Franchise: Business Supporting organisations Networking Workshop and Fair

Participants are welcome to apply and come to the event. EU participants are required to cover the travel cost, while cost of MED participants can be covered by the project, however the number of MED participants that can be covered by the project is limited. The organiser can provide MED participans with the neccessary documentation for obtaining visa.
