The workshop will take place during the Cairo Franchise Expo Fair. The thematic will be on bests practices in the field of investment promotion and lobby for the franchise sector.

The EBWA's Workshop will take place on May  in the framework of the "MIFE MENA International Franchise Exhibition" that promote area of Businesses:

1. Franchisers, franchise consulting, press technique, suppliers of equipment and services, financial, local organizations commercial, organizations of enterprise promotion.

2. Other businesses: commercial networks, associated commerce, opportunities of businesses.

Presentation of the Workshop

EBWA will offering to organize a workshop during the next Middle East and North African Fair that will be held in Cairo 13-15 May 2009 .This workshop will have the following advantages 

- It will be organized by several bodies promoting Franchising as The Egyptian Franchising Development Association , Egypt Chamber of Commerce,

- It will have high Caliber speakers from Europe And North Africa.

- It will have lot of Publicity and Media Coverage .

- It will have a Business To Business Meetings (B2B)

- It will offer the platform for some women Franchisors to exhibit their Franchises during the Fair

- EBWA will be responsible for all the logistic arrangements

- And the workshop organization and topics

-To improve the capacity of Businesswomen Organisations in serving efficiently the investor.

-To improve the capacity of Women BSOs in working efficiently with the public sector.

-Franchisers and Franchisee of all around Mediterranean countries.

Preparatory work

Since the last meeting in Ljubljana the Egyptian Business Women Association has been trying to promote the MED FRANCHISE project throughout Egypt and made several meetings within this context. 

-Many meetings have been made with several entrepreneurs Franchisors, others who are Franchisees and other Entrepreneurs who wants to be involved in franchising;

- EBWA has also met with the Egyptian Franchising Development Association (EFDA)and had a very successful meeting .As a result of this meeting EBWA and EFDA decided to establish a Women Committee in Franchising in EFDA in collaboration with EBWA And Dr. Amany Asfour, president of EBWA, will be the chair o This Committee;

- EBWA will also organize a special session on Women in Franchising during the Annual congress of EBWA which will be held in Cairo 23-25 April where there Will be speakers from the Egyptian Franchising Development Association and there will be success stories for women Franchisors.
