In a constantly changing environment influenced by the global economic crisis, companies need to implement new strategies to improve their competitiveness and efficiency. Therefore a stronger cooperation and collaboration between countries from the two shores of the Mediterranean is more needed than ever.
In its 7th edition, The North Africa Business Development Forum provides the opportunity for representatives of companies, multilateral organizations and governmental agencies from all Mediterranean countries to meet and share their experiences, in order to explore new business opportunities.
This year, the forum will cover a various number of key issues such as: - The family business model - The emerging renewable energy sector in the region - The leading role of the consulting and engineering sectors - The challenges facing the agro-food sector - The new reforms and actions plans needed in the health sector - The importance of private equity and capital investment companies in the region
All of these issues are an essential part of the economic development of the countries and will be examined by experts and economic leaders in the aim of reinforcing and boosting economic cooperation and development in the Mediterranean region. Sectors

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
