Operation supported by Invest in Med

Technical courses on BSO management

Tunisia, Tunis,
From 09-29-2009 to 10-01-2009

The CJD (centre des jeunes dirigeants) Tunisia organised under the umbrella of the UTICA a two-day-training for young entrepreneurs on related to interculturality issues in enterprises management, business and internationalisation. This training was articulated around three modules, mixing theory, practice, and exchange of experience: The first module presented the basis for intercultural communication while the second tackled issues related to intercultural management. The third session focused on “risk management” in SMEs from a cultural perspective. The training was attended by 18 participants from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Belgium. For Hassan Laaziri, CEO of CDG Capital Private Equity (Morocco), “this training was definitely contributing to a better understanding between Mediterranean leaders which is essential to develop businesses.”

Program (Final)

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia.
