10 Women Entrepreneurs were selected under « Distrimed 2. ♀. » initiative. They operate in the Home Sector (Linen, internal decoration, handicraft…etc.) and have participated to the technical training “let’s innovate in our distribution channels” held in June 2010 in Tunis. These selected women had receive an individual technical support to prepare their participation to the Retail Trade Fair “TRADEXPO 2011” in Paris
This technical assistance helped them to present their products to European professional buyers and to work out the negotiations during the B2B meetings. These participants will be also assisted after the Trade Fair in order to ensure a good follow up of the contacts and potential orders. This technical assistance step included also a personalized follow up of 4 Tunisian women companies and 3 Moroccan ones in order to improve the quality of their E-commerce websites and to boost their online sells. An E-Commerce Expert had insured these two missions in Tunisia and Morocco during December 2010

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean. Funded at 75% by the European Union over the 2008-2011 period, it is implemented by the MedAlliance consortium, which associates economic development organisations (ANIMA, leader of the programme), CCIs (ASCAME, EUROCHAMBRES), and business federations (BUSINESSMED). The members of these networks, as well as their special partners (UNIDO, GTZ, EPA Euroméditerranée, World Bank, etc.), gather a thousand of economic actors - mobilised through pilot initiatives centered on key Mediterranean promising niches. Each year, a hundred operations associate the 27 countries of the European Union and 9 Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. www.invest-in-med.eu
