 This CNFCE – UTICA training gathered 25 Maghreb Women Manager, 2 European Trainers and more than 50 products from Algeria, Morroco and Tunisia, Typical products but also adapted to European Consumer.

 

« Let’s Innovate in our Distribution Channel » 

This was the theme of the technical training organized in Tunis from 28 to 30 June 2010, supported by Invest In med Program and initiated by “DISTRIMED 2.0”. In total, 20 Maghreb Women Managers were selected during the first step of the project by end of March 2010, to participate to this training.

 

In order to make the training as concrete as possible, a small exposition was organized in the training room. Deco products, home accessories from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia were presented to the specialized French trainers.

 

The main objectives of this training session were to go as deep as possible in the distribution channel through E-commerce websites, or through retail chains and specialized stores. 

 

The trainers tried to frame these two distribution channels and to explain to the participants, the requirements and conditions of these two distribution modes in order to evaluate their strength and weakness regarding the access to these two models

 

At the end of the training, the participants did the reflex ion during workshops on which model is most convenient to them and also expressed their specific needs in term of assistance in order to make the access to one or another of this distribution channel, possible.

These workshops, constituted then the starting point to the step 3 of « Distrimed 2.0 » which consisted on one to one technical assistance for the preselected participants

 

A final selection has been then done by the project partners. The selected women managers benefited of a personalized coaching and assistance during the retail fair in Paris and the exposition with a European retail brand afterward.

The Invest in Med programme aims at developing sustainable trade relationships, investments and enterprise partnerships between the two rims of the Mediterranean.
